The aim would be to give the most pleasing and less stressful shopping experience. We shall offer discounts, loyalty bonuses and even offer special offers for regular customers. The aim would be to make shopping from the car easy and safe for everyone (Cummings, 2002) The plan for the Drive and Market drive through supermarket would be to create similar rotational racks that would hold the grocery and home items which can be accessed by the user while seated in the car. Through browsing through the various shelves the user can pick items they like and process it for packing and payment. Not only will this make shopping easy, it would also make it faster and since theres no need to get out, the person can get their items from the payment section of the drive through and just keep them on the other seat or maybe the back seat (Zimmerman, 2013). Manufacturing/Operations In the Drive through Supermarket, there is a significant easy solutions for the riders to pick up their needed groceries and food items through the simple drive through method. For simplifying the same there needs to be proper procedures and even the establishment needs to be created in order to cater to the needs of the shoppers. The Drive through needs to have ample space for the usual private cars to drive through so that there is no one whose car might not fit the drive through. Theres also the need to see whether theres ample rack space to fit in the most necessary items. Since its a drive through, there should be enough variety for the customer yet the rack space should be utilized properly. Since a drive through supermarket lacks the amount of rack space like usual supermarkets like the popular Coles Supermarkets, it is necessary that the rack space is created with planning and only the bestselling products and brands get the front space, to improve sales and give customers wh at they want, easier and faster. Also theres a need to make discounts and offers visible to the users so that they can easily choose between the best selections and make their supermarket trip faster than the regular store visit. Research and Development Plan We have used the latest technologies and the marketing solutions to ensure that the project is able to attract prospective customers and that there are ample ways to influence the todays buyers and including the drive through the supermarket process in their daily activities. There is a growing urge from working people who are hesitant to shop every day and have fresh food, in this they settle for buying groceries and freezing them. Theres also a need for the people to incorporate easy methods to shop, sometimes making sure that they have to spend as little time and effort possible for buying the groceries and household things. The new age technologies are trying to incorporate a new vertical rotational grocery shopping system that can be operated from the car itself. The user can change the vertical shelves and pick up the items they need which range from breads, vegetables, milk and other necessary items. Below the vertical rack a conveyor belt takes the selected items to a teller for packing and the user then pays for the items bought through cash or card. The same technology and even a similar method can be used for making a dash at the supermarket at the drive through so much more comfortable and fun The Ask and the Offer In order to realize the plan of creating The Drive through Supermarket, there is a need for funding which would ensure that the services to the customer are up to their expectation as well as the funding would be used for setting up the store, the internal and external decorations, advertisements, for creating banners, posters and for ensuring that people would be able to find the supermarket. Since there is a window of opportunity for connecting with the prospective customers over the issue of the new way of picking up groceries on the run it would be just that the business plan is realized as soon as possible to ensure that the business can thrive before other competition understand the potential for the new business and become faster to get the attention as well as secure the spot to get the business. This requires a significant portion of the funding for renting the drive through space. Also there is a need to buy the storefront items for the supermarket as well as for employing potential workers to handle the billing and the packing session. The checkout process has to be smooth and easy and it should provide the shopper with simple solution for the same. There is a need to ensure that the services are quick and smooth for which latest technology of checkout and order processing are required.
